IWIC: 2nd International Workshop on Immersive Communication

Background

Advances in multimedia technologies, services and networks have broadened the possibilities for communication and human expression in a variety of application domains and contexts of use. Advanced immersive multimedia entertainment, high-end telepresence, network music performance and various haptic-audio-visual applications, are a few of the trends currently being pursued. This workshop is intended to provide a forum for researchers and engineers to present their latest innovations and share their experiences on all aspects of design and implementation of new immersive communication systems and applications. Topics of interests include, but are not limited to:

  • Immersive media
  • Multimedia communication
  • Advanced network music performance
  • Spatial audio
  • Mobile media applications
  • Multimodal information processing
  • Virtual teams and distributed collective actions
  • Intelligent tools for multimedia networking

Authors are invited to submit a full paper according to the guidelines available on the conference website at http://iisa2015.unipi.gr/. Only electronic submissions will be accepted for review.
